The Syrian Firefly: A safe haven for vulnerable children, offering security, friendship, and engaging learning in a supportive environment
During the summer period, we continued our collaboration with Violet Organization in Latakia by implementing an intensive educational program benefiting 38 children.
The activities are conducted for three hours per day, three days a week, with the aim of providing a supportive learning environment that helps children continue their education and develop their skills throughout the summer.
The Meccano Program expanded its activities through the launch of new learning groups across several areas of Latakia, in collaboration with local mosques and community-based organizations, with the aim of making applied science activities accessible to a larger number of beneficiaries.
During July, 1,134 beneficiaries participated in applied science activities, reflecting the program’s growing reach and its continued efforts to engage children and other beneficiaries through practical and interactive learning experiences.

The course aims to develop students’ practical skills and introduce them to fundamental concepts of electricity through hands-on activities that encourage learning by doing and help strengthen their technical abilities.
